Location: ALS Geochemistry, North Vancouver
Reports to: Specialty Assay Manager
Position Type: Full-time Hours
About the Position: Independently conduct routine and non-routine analyses of geological samples using correct methods in accordance with the established procedures and schedules while ensuring analytical quality, and adhere to safe laboratory practices by working in accordance with the ALS Health and Safety Program.

Detail oriented individual with a strong commitment to quality;
Ability to work independently or as part of a team;
Ability to effectively handle a high volume of work and time critical issues;
Intermediate English communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills;
Intermediate computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Outlook;
Familiarity with any of the following would be an asset
Calibration of routine instruments
Evaluation of QC Checks and calibration standards
Analyses of all partial and total digestions
Chemical and physical interferences in geological analyses
