    Location: ALS Environmental, London

    Position Type: Temporary (6 month Term)

    Shift: Monday to Friday

    About the Position: This position is responsible for supporting the Client Services department with preparing bottle orders, sample pick-ups and deliveries.

    Responsibilities

    Specific Responsibilities:

    • Conduct client deliveries and pick-ups in London, Waterloo and surrounding areas;

    • Maintain cleanliness of company vehicle, perform and record daily operational checks;

    • General shipping, receiving and supplies warehousing functions as needed;
    • Preparation and organization of bottle orders to client supplied specifications, including preservation, sample cooler control, storage maintenance;
    • Assist with the proper packing and daily shipping of samples to ALS network labs;
    • Provide customer feedback to client services personnel;

    Qualifications

    Physical Demands:

    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry for short distances;
    • Extensive walking or movement, bending, kneeling, and carrying;
    • Able to stand or sit for a full shift;
    • Able to climb stairs;
    • You may be exposed to unpleasant odours;

    About You:

     

    The ideal candidate would have:

    • High school diploma or equivalent;
    • Valid unrestricted license for personal vehicle use applicable in the province/territory;
    • No major driving violations and no more than two minor violations/incidents.

       

    You would also be:

    • Transport samples and supplies in accordance with the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act;
    • Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately and thoroughly;
    • Attention to detail and great customer service skills required;
    • Ability to work within a fast-paced, high volume environment;
    • Good understanding of computer applications;
    • Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal.
